Divine chocolate, of course, enhanced with tons of ground cinnamon and then flecked with delicious little grains of Fleur de sel for that turbo-boost of flavor that only salt can give to chocolate.

Mint Chocolate Brownies
Monday, February 27, 2012 in Dessert, Entertaining, Food, Holidays, Kid Friendly, Vegetarian
Rich, decadent chocolate brownies topped with a nice, thick, minty layer of sweet icing unabashedly spiked with green food coloring, and then sprinkled with mini chocolate chips. Chocolate on mint on chocolate.
DIY Burp Cloths from Fabric Scraps
Friday, February 24, 2012 in Crafts, Home
This turned out to be a great project when I was stuck at home. All you need for a generously-sized burp cloth are two 19-inch by 10-inch pieces of fabric. One side is best made of an absorbent material like cotton flannel; the other with woven cotton. For the absorbent side, along with some flannel scraps I had on hand, we used a discarded king-size chenille pillowcase, an old flannel receiving blanket and even a pair of rejected flannel pajama pants.
Baileys & Coffee Cupcakes
Wednesday, February 22, 2012 in Dessert, Entertaining, Food, Holidays
Espresso-spiked cake makes for a very unique flavor. I’d never tasted a cupcake like it, but I loved it. The cake isn’t too sweet, in a good way. The light-as-a-cloud topper of Baileys-laden whipped cream is the perfect companion; sprinkle some instant espresso on top, and you’re good to go.
Primroses

I adore primroses. Just as spring fever threatens to hit, up pops this plant that’s perfect for a porch-brightening container or two.
Salted Dark-Chocolate-Dipped Oranges
Wednesday, February 8, 2012 in Chicks Dig It, Entertaining, Food, Fruit, Gluten Free, Vegetarian
So easy. Segments of oranges dipped in rich, dark chocolate and spiked with flakes of Fleur de sel … it totally works.
Chocolate Chip Cookie Cupcakes
Friday, February 3, 2012 in Dessert, Food, Kid Friendly, Vegetarian
The cupcake is reminiscent of a Toll House Cookie bar, but, you know, in cupcake form. Ooey, chewy, gooey, chocolate chippy goodness. And the buttercream … oh my. Lots of brown sugar, a hit of vanilla, a pinch of salt to take it over the top.
