Thursday, March 15, 2012 in Breakfast, Chicks Dig It, Drinks, Food, Fruit, Vegetarian
This recipe can now be found on my new blog, Kitchen Treaty – the direct link is below. It is no longer available on The Hazel Bloom.
I’m very sorry for the inconvenience, but I do hope you come on over to see Kitchen Treaty. It’s a food blog (and my new labor of love!) with easy vegetarian recipes so delicious you won’t miss the meat, flexible one dish two ways recipes with optional meat add-ins for the carnivores, universally-loved drinks and cocktails, scrumptious desserts, and lots more.

I have been into the whole green smoothie thing for a little while myself and love them. I need to pick it back up though cause I stopped drinking them when I was really sick a few weeks ago. The peanut butter in it (I think) made me feel sick every time I’ve tried to drink one since. I see yours doesn’t have peanut butter in it so I might give it a whirl!
This sounds really tasty and loaded with C-vitamin. Hope I can fool my husband to drink it.
I’ve been making green smoothies for the past few weeks. It’s my breakfast. I’ve been getting
more adventurous with my ingredients. I’ve been picking dandelion greens. They’re free and
I’m weeding my yard! I want to pick other weeds to add to my smoothies. I do add fruit to sweeten
the taste of the bitter greens. I’m just a bit concerned with mixing a little too many varieties together. Am I doing more harm than good? What fruits go with what vegetables? I’m doing
more research on this subject.
